For appearing in Foundation Examination, a student must have completed 4 months of study period and have qualified class 12th Examination. For example, if you register on 1st October 2018, you won’t be eligible for November 2018 examination. Because you need to have completed 4 months of study period. Accordingly, you will be able to appear in May 2019 examination.

What is the examination pattern in ca foundation? is it completely objective like CPT?
No, CA Foundation is not completely objective like CPT. Paper 1 and 2 are subjective type while paper 3 and 4 are objective type.
There will be negative marking for Papers 3 & 4 only and not for subjective papers i.e. 1 & 2.
what is the minimum passing score in ca Foundation examination?
You can qualify Foundation Examination by securing 50 % in aggregate and 40 % in each subject individually.

A student can register for Intermediate Course w e f 1st July 2017. To register in CA Inter you must have qualified PE I /CPT/Foundation or you can also join through Direct Entry Route.

After passing either or both groups of Intermediate examination and successfully completing Four Weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS), you can commence Practical Training.

3 years under the revised scheme.
what is the eligibility to appear in the final examination of revised scheme?
Under the Revised Scheme, you can appear for the Final examination during the last six months of Practical Training and after successfully completing Four Weeks Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS).
how many parallel attempts will be given to students of old scheme?
Number of parallel attempts for CPT-Foundation, IPCC-Intermediate and Final (existing) – Final (revised) will be 3, 3 and 6 respectively.
i am registered under old scheme, can i switch to revised scheme course?
Yes, at any point of time you can switch to new course.
What is Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICIITSS) and Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (Advanced ICITSS)?
ICITSS (OC & ITT) is combination of Information Technology Training (ITT) and Orientation Course (OC) and Advanced ICITSS (GMCS & Adv. ITT) is combination of General Management Communication Skills (GMCS) and Advanced ITT.
ICITSS and Advanced ICITSS will be effective from 1st July 2017 and are of 4 weeks each.
i have already completed OC & ITT / GMCS & ADV. ITT under existing scheme, do I need to undergo ICITSS / Advanced ICITSS if I switch to Revised Scheme?
No, a student who has already undergone OC & ITT / GMCS & ADV. ITT will not be required to undergo that course again.
When is ICITSS to be undergone?
It is to be completed before commencement of articleship training.
When is Advanced ICITSS to be undergone?
Anytime during last 2 years of Practical Training but, compulsorily before appearing for Final Exam under Revised Scheme / before applying for Membership of ICAI under Existing Scheme.
I am registered under existing scheme and have not undergone OC and ITT. Do I need to undergo ICITSS?
